Anything can be expensive if you're looking to spend money! Whilst it's true, SCUBA diving can be expensive if doesn't have to be - there are a number of things to consider when budgeting for diving.
Starting costs
Training
Learning to dive isn't cheap but it is a one off cost which when balanced against the fact it never expires and lasts you a lifetime does make it exceptional value.
As with all our courses, entry fees are exempt but all equipment, allocations and resources are included. Yes, you can learn to dive without a drysuit but why would you?! It's much better to dive all year round and when you fancy a change your trusty wetsuit will be waiting.
So for £450 what can you do?
Golf
Motorbikes
Football season ticket
Cycling
So you've done it, you're now qualified & you're looking to build your kit locker up.
Equipment
Equipment can be expensive, after all your life can depend on it. That said, buying the right equipment and looking after it will pay dividends, some of us have had our equipment for over 10 years and it's still working as well as it did then!
'insert table of equipment Vs new and 2nd hand costs'
Second hand equipment is also a great place to go, just be aware of chancers and scammers - if you've any doubt though then speak to us and get our opinion.
Now you're a diver, you're qualified, you've got the equipment so now it stops.... Right?
Further training
Training is invaluable, like learning to dive - courses allow you to progress as a diver; opening up new horizons, granting experience and increasing confidence.
