Specialty Courses
If you don't fancy the Advanced Open Water then there's a number of other options available to you to get you diving,
If there's a particular area of diving that interests you, then specialities are the perfect way to gain some experience with a likeminded dive buddy and our expert instructors.
Advanced Open Water
The next step after Open Water for most divers is the Advanced Open Water, increasing your maximum depth to 30m and gaining experience in different locations with different styles of diving, this course is always well received and is one that every member of staff enjoys being a part of as much as they enjoyed their own.
The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills in open water, there's no pool sessions and over five dives at Capernwray with one of our qualified instructors you'll practice underwater navigation and buoyancy, you'll try deep diving as well as making three specialty dives of your choosing.
For every specialty dive you complete, you can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications so if you think you're interested in a specific type of SCUBA diving then see if it can be started as part of your Advanced Open Water.

The SCUBA Group is set up to allow individuals to be the best divers they can be, our approach is one of tuition, mentorship and support. We love teaching people to progress their diving but there is no substitute for getting out there and going diving!
